Overview
The National Conference of Proteomics is jointly organized by Proteomics special committee, China Biochemistry & Molecular biology Society for the purpose of promoting the scientific exchange and cooperation in china. The National Conference of Proteomics is held every year and represents the national highest level in this field. The conferences have been hosted in Changsha, Dalian, Changchun and Xi’an successfully, but have never been held in southern china. The research centers of proteomics were mainly in Beijing and Shanghai and the research strength of Guangdong is far behind these two cities. This is the first time that the conference will be hosted in southern china and will become the milestone of proteomics development in southern china.
The CNHUPO 5th Annual Congress & the First Guangdong-Hongkong Proteomics Forum will be held in Guangzhou and followed by the satellite conferences in Hongkong from 19 to 24th, August 2007. The conference is hosted by Southern Medical University, Jinan University, Hongkong University, Chinese University of Hongkong and Beijing Proteome Research Center, supported by Guangzhou Science & Technology Society. The conference will provide a great opportunity for the proteomic researchers to track the latest development of disease proteomics, functional proteomics, drug proteomics, structural proteomics.
The goal of the conference is to discuss the challenges faced in this field today, and to bring proteomics researchers closer together. At the intersection of many diverse disciplines, proteomics represents an exceptionally wide intellectual community that reaches into nearly every area of modern molecular biology. This conference is the first to be hosted by Guangzhou and followed by the satellite conferences in Hongkong and will bring together proteomics researchers from Mainland china, Hongkong and Macau, especially researchers in Guangdong, Hongkong and Macau. It will boost the proteomics research in southern china. The conference will provide a collaborative environment for proteomics researchers from Guangdong, Hongkong and Macau and to bolster academic and industry proteomics collaborations in Southern China.
It is a great opportunity for proteomics researchers from all over the world to communicate and exchange with each other, it will also make a giant contribution for the development of proteomics research in southern china.
